According to the first financial news August 10, the Shanghai Futures Exchange for the first time at the same time listed two options varieties - aluminum options and zinc options. “Since the listing of one month, the overall operation of the aluminum options and zinc options market is stable, the scale of transactions and positions steadily expanding, the investor structure is becoming more and more perfect, and the market function is initially apparent.” The relevant person in charge of the SFE said.
As of September 9 (Wednesday), aluminum options and zinc options cumulative operation of 23 trading days. Aluminum options cumulative turnover of 65,600 lots, the cumulative turnover of 52,214,300 yuan, 9 after-hours positions of 12,800 lots. Among them, the average daily turnover of aluminum options accounted for 1.38% of the average daily turnover of the underlying futures in the same period, and the 9-day after-hours aluminum options position accounted for 4.18% of the underlying futures position.
Zinc options trading was more active, with a cumulative turnover of 138,900 lots, a cumulative turnover of 199,105,700 yuan, and an after-hours position of 12,300 lots on the 9th. Among them, the average daily turnover of zinc options accounted for 2.07% of the average daily turnover of the underlying futures during the same period, and the position of zinc options accounted for 6.03% of the underlying futures position after 9 days.
For the next stage, the relevant person in charge of SFE said that the Institute will optimize and improve the contract rules of aluminum options and zinc options in a timely manner according to the market feedback, and on the basis of market cultivation in the early stage, further targeting different types of customers, to carry out training and market promotion and publicity activities, and to promote the steady development of aluminum options and zinc options market.
